Ahmadu Bello University (ABU) has officially announced that the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Abbas Tajudeen, will receive the "Distinguished Alumnus of the Year Award." The recommendation came from the University Reward and Recognition System Committee, led by Prof. Sani A. Abdullahi.

This honor recognizes the Speaker's significant interventions, including the installation of a 60 KVA solar-powered mini-grid and modern sports facilities, which have greatly enhanced campus life and energy stability.
