Industrial action at the University of Lagos persists as the local chapter of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) remains on an indefinite strike.

The union is protesting what it describes as "amputated" salaries for January and February 2026, claiming that critical allowances were omitted despite a previous federal agreement. While the university management insists that examinations will proceed, many lectures and invigilation duties remain suspended.
