Harry Kane, fresh from lifting the German Super Cup with Bayern Munich, didn’t hold back when asked about Barcelona’s teenage wonderkid, Lamine Yamal calling him “a fantastic player.” Kane expressed genuine admiration for Yamal’s dazzling performances at such a young age and acknowledged a bright future ahead for the Catalan star .

Having faced Yamal twice on the field in the Euro 2024 final (where Spain beat England 2–1) and during a Champions League league stage clash Kane has seen the youngster’s brilliance firsthand . In both encounters, Yamal delivered: he set up the opener in the Euros final and contributed another assist when Barcelona thumped Bayern 4–1 in the group stage .

Talking to Marca, Kane remarked:

“He’s a fantastic player. Obviously, for him to be doing what he’s doing at a young age is incredible. It looks like he’s got a big future ahead of him. We’ll see if we come up against Barcelona in the Champions League this year. Fair play to him, he’s a fantastic player.”
